What Happened to Devon? — A Horary and Tarot Case Closure
AUTHOR’S NOTE: Roughly a year ago I was approached by a person with an interest in the case of Devon Marsman, who at that time had been missing from Halifax, Nova Scotia for more than two years. He was last seen entering a relative’s house in Halifax at night, apparently for a party that the querent feared may have gone wrong. The investigation covered that angle but nobody was talking.
At her request, I performed a horary astrology reading and two tarot readings, the consensus of which was “There are numerous references in these readings that point to an agricultural ‘country’ setting as the location of greatest likelihood for discovery.” The readings referred to a hidden location “in the country” to the West or Northwest of the city, most likely at a place that is involved with farm animals. They also suggested a shallow burial, and that someone close to Devon knew something about the property but was stonewalling the investigators.
Yesterday I was again contacted by the interested party to let me know that Devon’s dismembered remains had just been found on a farm outside of the urban area (the “farther afield” mentioned in my earlier summation). News articles stated that the relative and another young person had been arrested for homicide, and that the charges would include obstruction of justice by making false statements to police on March 15, 2022. Because the case is ongoing, no further details were provided.
This is not the kind of missing-person outcome a diviner wants to see, but it is the most common one in my experience when a case has gone “cold.” It corroborates some of the techniques I’ve been using, and I will consider it substantially “correct” rather than “successful” due to the unfortunate nature of the ending. There was no indication that the authorities had been made aware of my efforts in advance of the discovery, and the results were most certainly too late to save Devon anyway, so at this point they are mainly of academic value. Although it wasn’t expected that Devon would be found alive, my contact expressed gratitude for arriving at closure in the matter, saying that my readings were “eerily accurate.” Below is the last post on the subject that reached these conclusions.
