The Lazy Man’s Tree-of-Life “Reality Check” Spread

AUTHOR’S NOTE: I’m calling this a “lazy man’s” spread (pardon my gender exclusiveness; you can rephrase it as “lazy person’s” if you like, but I was going for the “lazy-man’s-lobster” allusion) because it requires only a very general knowledge of the meaning of the sephiroth on the Tree and the flow of energy thereon. An awareness of planetary influences as applied to the esoteric tarot would also be useful, but note that I’ve departed from both the Chaldean “seven-planet” model and Aleister Crowley’s adoption of the three trans-Saturnian planets. This spread represents my attempt to get more pragmatic divinatory value out of the Golden Dawn’s rather abstract and academic Tree of Life reading. I envision using it for any kind of initiative that involves development over time.
