The “Double-Entry” Situational Bottom-Line Spread

--

I had intended to make this spread emulate a double-entry book-keeping ledger with a “credit” (profitable) side and a “debit” (less-rewarding) side, in which the “bottom line” would be a “zero-sum” proposition using the “quintessence” method. But the only way I could get a numerical zero out of it was to use the reversed version of the calculated quint as a negative number, which was not only clumsy but didn’t meet my intent for reading the spread. Instead, I went with what I call “symbolic parallels” (trump cards that are the same distance from either end of the 22-card series) as a way to “balance the books.” This creates a “double-ended” outcome that can show “two sides to the story.”
