Lottery Draw for the Week of March 4, 2024
AUTHOR’S NOTE: I used my new spread for selecting the best day of the week to buy a lottery ticket. This requires removing the court cards and shuffling the rest of the deck to populate the “days of the week” row, left-to-right, then shuffling and laying the court cards left-to-right above them until the chosen Significator shows up (this may take two or three layers of cards; in this reading it appeared on the second pass). The most favorable daily card will identify the ideal opportunity, and the Significator’s placement will hopefully reinforce that result (as it does here). If there are no clearly beneficial cards in the initial series, the Significator can elevate a marginally fortunate one or it can be applied independently as a separate indicator. Reversals are not used.
In this reading there were a couple of reasonable candidates for the best day of the week but I selected the 9 of Disks on Thursday for its emphasis on material “Gain.” The 3 of Swords (Sorrow) and the 8 of Disks (Prudence) were rejected outright; the Magician is not necessarily a lucky card and the Hierophant is not big on gambling (not to mention that Tuesday and most of Wednesday have already passed as I write this); the Ace of Wands I find too pushy, while the 4 of Disks (Power) on Monday is only marginally less favorable than the 9 of Disks. Since Monday has also passed, Thursday looks to be the most favorable day. (Next week I will perform this reading on Sunday; this week I was traveling until Tuesday.)
When I pulled the court cards looking for my usual Significator (the Knight of Cups), it also landed on Thursday, reinforcing the testimony of the 9 of Disks. With that double emphasis in mind I’ll be sure to go out and buy a couple of tickets on Thursday, and I will update this post with the results.
